Divergent — Visual Space Gallery

We are pleased to announce that Seiji Kuwabara / In Element Designs will be exhibiting at Divergent, a group show at Visual Space Gallery in Vancouver, alongside artists Atsuko Yoshimura and Ideet Sharon.

Five works come together for this exhibition — each one a study in material honesty, each one sitting comfortably at the edge of furniture and art.

The HACO shelving unit in solid cherry: stacked, floating drawers — as much sculpture as storage. The MA low table pairs a walnut slab with Jatoba accents, quiet and grounded. The KIGI bench in walnut, its surface built from individually handcrafted blocks at varying heights — a pixelated relief that asks you to look twice. Imagination, a sculptural lamp of turned wood spheres in charred and natural finishes, crowned by a washi paper globe. And joining us for the very first time — a new floor lamp making its debut straight from the studio.
